I have a lot of good (and bad experiences) but most recently I traveled to the Don CeSar Beach Resort (http://www.fivestaralliance.com/luxury_hotel/st_petersburg%2C_fl/don_cesar_beach_resort) in St. Pete Beach, Florida where they upgraded me to beachfront room without me asking - since the hotel wasn’t sold out. Plus from the moment I arrived and told the bell hop my name, everyone remembered my name and referred to me by it.
Lastly, they set me up on a historical tour (as long as I was interested) of the hotel with the head concierge.
It was a great experience and I recommend it over many of the Florida beach hotels I’ve visted.
Wow, that sounds fantastic. I want to go!
