During and afterWW11,my mother served in the Navy and when on leave would return to Wash D.C, to stay with her sister and brother in law whom just happened to be a government attorney and speech writer for Truman and an assistant attorney general with Eisenhower. She loved to go to lunch at the Hays Adams Hotel to see all of the big political shakers of that time. After coming down with altzheimers disease, she wanted to return to Wash.D.C one more time so I took her on an east coast trip and we did indeed have lunch there and too ,got to see the movers and shakers of our times. The trip was special as are the great deals and persons who made and continue to make the history of our great country,it is a special place and I am glad that I got to see it through the eyes of a truely knowledgable individual who knew the real makings of the hotel.I too would love to look back in time and experience the total hotel.
My husband and I own a restaurant in Miami, Florida and take great pride in providing the utmost service to our customers.
