Dispatch from France: New High Speed Train to Connect Paris and Eastern Europe
It’s almost finished. On June 10, 2007, the new Eastern-European TGV line will open in Paris. Traveling at speeds of 320 kilometers per hour (approximately 200 miles per hour), the high speed train will reach Strasbourg and Luxembourg in under 2.5 hours. Passengers will zoom into Zurich in a little over 4 hours. Munich? A mere 5.5 hours. And the best part of all? The train’s brand new interiors were designed by Christian Lacroix. Serious discounts will be offered on the TGV’s official website for summer travel, starting on April 10.
