Madeline Children’s Tea Party at Bemelmans Bar, The Carlyle New York
The Carlyle, the internationally acclaimed luxury hotel and East Side institution, has launched the Madeline High Tea at Bemelmans Bar for children of all ages. From 12 noon to 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, Bemelmans Bar plays host to a three-tiered tea served on Madeline-inspired linen and china. Seated among the renowned Madeline murals (the book’s author paid for 18 months of room and board at the legendary hotel by painting murals illustrating the popular book), guests can enjoy Madeline’s favorites like Bemelmans Teany Burgers and Fries, Pepitos Crudités and Dips, Petite Banana Splits Fontainebleau, and Eiffel Tower Hot Fudge Sundae with a cherry on top. Reservations required. Cost is $40 per person.
