Afternoon Tea on the River and Sundown Cocktail Cruise at The Peninsula Bangkok
The stunning, 39-storey Peninsula Bangkok is situated on the banks of the Chao Phraya River and offers uninterrupted panoramic views of the city from every one of its guest rooms. The award-winning hotel takes advantage of its killer location by offering some scenic inspiration for guests to relax in style with a river cruise, gliding past scenes of river life on the Peninsula’s signature river boat en route to the fascinating Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn). Guests who indulge in the Afternoon Tea cruise are escorted off the boat to visit the heritage site of Wat Arun, the 80-meter high pagoda that stands on the west bank of the river, built when Ayudhaya was the former capital of Thailand. The Peninsula Afternoon Tea on the River departs on Saturday and Sunday and is priced at Baht 1,500. The Sundown Cocktail Cruise departs daily from the hotel pier at 6 pm and includes unlimited drinks and canapés for Baht 1,000 per person.
