News from Whistler: The New Peak 2 Peak Gondola Connects Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains
Skiers, rejoice. North America’s number 1 ski resort, the epic Whistler Blackcomb, has just gotten even better. It has the biggest vertical rise in North America, the most terrain, and come December, Whistler will boast the new Peak 2 Peak gondola connecting both Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains. Lucky skiers can save time, and experience unbelievable views from the “highest distance in the world above a valley floor,” by traveling between British Columbia’s two mighty peaks. The 2.73-mile ride takes 11 minutes, and travels the world’s longest unsupported span.
