Talk of the Town: Caudalie Spa Opens at The Plaza Hotel, New York
There’s been a lot of talk about The Plaza since its $400 million renovation. (Overhyped and overpriced! Lawsuits over the “attic-like” penthouses!) But here’s some news that would make Eloise proud. And is bound to secure the hotel as one of the finest luxury offerings in New York. The Manhattan landmark is introducing vinotherapy to the city with the opening of the 8,000-square-foot Caudalie Spa. The beloved skin-care line has its origins in the Bordeaux vineyards, as grape extracts are known for their medicinal powers. The New York Times Style Magazine recently hailed the spa opening as a delight for the “truly sybaratic” as this will be the “first spa in the city to feature an in-house sommelier.” So you can “get sloughed with crushed grapes, soak in wine-barrel hot tubs and wash it all down with a glass of Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte.”
