Jumeirah Sets its Sights on Glasgow

Glasgow has got its groove on, and now Scotland’s largest city will have digs to match the town’s vibrant cultural scene. (Happening Glasgow recently gained “Unesco City of Music” status.) Luxury hotel chain Jumeirah has plans for a gorgeous hotel, its fifth signed in Europe, to open in Glasgow in 2011. We’re anticipating the award-winning service for which Jumeirah is known around the world. And more. The infinity pool looks pretty tempting in the artist renderings, and plans for a signature Talise spa, gym, and rooftop bar are music to our ears. Situated in the city’s International Financial Services District, the 160-room Jumeirah Glasgow Hotel will cater to a business clientele- boasting extensive business and conference amenities (and 85 luxurious Jumeirah Living serviced apartments for those planning an extended stay).
