New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival Starts April 24th
The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival is the culmination of years of discussions and efforts by city leaders who wanted to create an event worthy of the city’s legacy as the birthplace of jazz. Starting in 1970 with a little over 350 people in attendance, it has grown into an amazing celebration of over 300,000 people yearly who come to pay their respect to a city that has remained resilient in spirit and cultural significance. This year will be no less than amazing, with everyone from Earth, Wind, and Fire to the Dave Matthews Band performing. There will also be an array of food and craft vendors showcasing their local talents. If you are looking for great accommodations, Loews New Orleans Hotel still has rooms available, going for less than $250 a night.
