Fairmont Monte Carlo Preps for the Tour de France Opening Ceremony in Monaco
Monaco is thrilled to be hosting the Grand Start for the Tour de France this year. The 96th Tour will kick off with a ceremony on Saturday, July 4th after which the riders will race the clock in a 15-kilometer time-trial on the F1 circuit of Monaco (passing lots of legendary markers including the hairpin turn in front of the Fairmont). Made up of 21 different stages, the Tour will cover a total distance of 3,500 kilometers. Head to Monte Carlo to cheer for your favorite aspiring yellow shirt (and witness Lance’s return from retirement), while bedding down in luxury at the Fairmont Monte Carlo. The fashionable property– perched over the water next to the Casino– has put together a package so that guests can witness the Tour de France. Includes buffet breakfast with your accommodations. From July 1st to 5th.
