As the Miami Herald points out to its readers, why venture far when there are so many great deals in South Florida? Miami is brimming with fashionable new hotels, and in fact the glut of hotel rooms is causing hotels to cut rates (Read: bargains galore in South Beach). One of the most anticipated debuts is the W Hotel South Beach, now primping for a July opening. The Miami Herald is expecting “some of the best rooms on South Beach” as this condo-hotel will boast 511 units that are large and have kitchens. The setting? A prime oceanfront setting on Collins Avenue “in the playground of celebrities and on the boardwalk of the fashion jet set”– to quote the PR writer for the W brand (universally adored for the catchy taglines). What to expect? Six cool bars, a Bliss Spa, Whatever/Whenever service, a gym, and beautifully landscaped pools.
