Over at Five Star Alliance we’ve unveiled to the world our first list of what we consider to be the world’s best spa resorts. We figured that we were recommending these hotels so often, we might as well publish a list of our favorites.

The best Spa combining activity and pampering with preventive wellness approach for a total lifestyle experience is the Canyon Ranch in the Berkshires, located in Lenox, MA. I’ve met many celebrities there and had a wonderful time!
How could you not include Bacara under Santa Barbara. This is certainly one of the worlds best destination luxury resort spas
You haven’t lived and experienced luxury until you have visited the St. Regis in Dana Point (Laguna) Orange County, CA. A true and unforgettable experience. Everything from personal service to accomadations is A++++

Hey, you didn’t mention Tabecon Resort & Spa in Costa Rica. Tis is an amazing resort next to an active volcano. Check this place out. Not inexpensive, but worth it. Enjoy!

Just visited the new Spa at Sea Island and was totally impressed with the huge luxury spa and fitness facility. Great hospitality, relaxing environment and treatments that are Really customized.

Tabacon Grand Spa Thermal Resort
is for sure the best mineral spring spa in the
world.
Stevo is right! Tabacon, while not as luxurious as the rest in the list, is by far more unique, ecologically correct and special than any of the others.
I’ve been to quite a few of the above metioned “best spas” and none in my oinion compare with Lake Austin Spa Resort in Austin ,Texas.
I noticed a comment about Tenerife, personally my favourite is the wonderfully elegant and tranquil Hotel Botanico and its stunning Oriental Spa Garden, surrounded by impressive scenery on this beautiful volcanic island in the Atlantic.
I loved the Grand Spa at Tabacon Grand Spa Thermal Resort in Costa Rica. I’ve never had a spa treatment in the middle of a rainforest. I heard birds, water, felt the wind in the open bungalows and heard the nearby volcano, too. It was amazing, and the treatments are spectacular. Don’t miss the fabulous Temazcal — very unusual and it’s the only one that’s near a volcano and uses its thermal springs.
I’d put the The Cloister Spa or the One and Only Palmilla Spa against any Spa in the world!

Les Sources de Caudalie in Bordeaux. The Spa was so wonderful that I didn’t bother to tour wine country although that was my original intent.
You forgot to list Dolomites best Spa Hotel: Alpenpalace Deluxe Hotel & Spa Resort. They have an original Art OF Beauty by LA PRAIRIE.
